Police blotter: Two performers get into fight at Renton strip club

A fight broke out between two performers at Club Sinrock, 208 S.W. 16th St., at about 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 17.

A 21-year-old Federal Way woman was waiting backstage to go on when a co-worker, who was just leaving the stage, started to verbally confront her. The aggressor, a 24-year-old from Tacoma, started to punch the other woman in the face. While she attempted to protect her head, she fell backward down the stairs and onto the floor. The other woman continued to attack her while she was on the ground, hitting her two to three more times. Club security broke up the fight.

Police observed redness and swelling underneath the right and left eye of the 21-year-old. Each female stated the other started the fight; both were sent home by the manager. The 24-year-old was cited for fourth-degree assault.

Two neighbors argue
Two neighbors got into a bloody argument on Feb. 5.

At around 7 p.m., police arrived at a home in the 12600 block of Southeast 162nd Street to find a 59-year-old man laying in the front yard, bleeding from his head. Apparently, he got into a scuffle with the neighbor. The man, who used to live at the residence, had gotten into a verbal fight with his girlfriend who owns the house. The man left and came back to retrieve some of his things, when he was confronted by the neighbor. The neighbor, a 23-year-old male, told the man he needed to leave because of the earlier argument with his girlfriend. The 59-year-old man refused to leave and the two got into a physical fight.

The neighbor suffered a cut lip, but neither man wanted to press charges.

Fraudulent checks cashed
Someone cashed fraudulent Bob Bridge Toyota checks totaling more than $13,000.

Police are investigating who could have obtained the finance manager’s signature or the bank account information. The forged checks were cashed over a period of approximately one week at various financial institutions throughout the South King County area. They all ended in $51.28 with different names of individuals depositing them.

Threatening calls
A Renton woman received a threatening phone call on Feb. 8.

At about 11:30 a.m., the woman said an unknown male called her on her cell phone. He said he knew where she lived and was coming to her home to kill her and her son. He didn’t call her by her name or give any clues he knew exactly where she lived, but he did know she has a son. She was told to contact police if there were anymore calls or she felt in danger.

Super Bowl argument
A Renton couple got into a violent argument over Super Bowl plans at about 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 6.

The 33-year-old male and 30-year-old woman were arguing over plans for the game when the man pushed the woman backward into a refrigerator. He then choked her and she yelled and struggled to get away. Eventually he let her go and while she was collecting her things to leave, he pushed her to the ground three or four more times. The woman left and drove to her sister’s house. A criminal citation was issued and the case was referred to the prosecutor’s office.

Theft suspect
An acquaintance on the bus turned out to be a suspect in a theft on Feb. 4.

A 24-year-old Renton woman, who lives in the 11900 block of Southeast 167th Street, explained to police that she met a man casually on a Metro bus the week prior and they exchanged phone numbers. The man called her early that morning, claiming that he was stranded and asked if she could help him out. She agreed and told him he could come over to her house. He arrived at about 4 a.m. and stayed until about 7:30 a.m. She gave him food to eat before he left.

Before he left, they stood at the front door. The woman had placed her phone on a shelf near the front door. She left the man at the front door and went to check on her daughter. She returned and let the man out and after he was gone, she noticed her Blackberry Smartphone was missing. No other items inside the house were missing.

Police ran a background check of the man and turned up nothing. The woman was told to report the stolen phone to her phone company.

Man stabbed in chest
A man stabbed in the Highlands late Monday afternoon refused to provide information to police, meaning detectives have no suspects or details of the assault, according to a Renton Police Department spokeswoman.

The victim, an African-American male in his late 20s or early 30s, was hospitalized with a wound to his chest, according to police spokeswoman Terri Vickers.
Police and medics responded to the area near the 2900 block of Northeast Seventh Street at about 3:45 p.m.

Without information from the victim, police have no description of the suspect, Vickers said. A police K9 unit did search the area.
