POLICE BLOTTER: Spare tires stolen from Hummers

The following information is compiled from City of Renton police reports:

A thief took the spare tires off three 2006 H2 Hummers at Good Chevrolet, the night of Oct. 24.

They were worth about $700 each, totaling about $2100.

The dealership, at 325 S.W. 12th St., didn’t have any cameras.

A four-spoke wheel lug nut was left at the scene, but police were unsuccessful at lifting a print from it.

Burglary

A home was burglarized during after apparently being left unlocked Oct. 13 on the 200 block of Pelly Avenue North.

There wasn’t any obvious damage to windows or doors, and the front door was left slightly ajar. The burglary occurred during the day.

The officer dusted the door’s handle for prints, but the knob appeared “very clean as if someone wiped it off.”

A computer, monitor, DVD player and flat screen TV were stolen.

Car prowl

A car prowler broke the windows of two cars parked at the Highlander Apartments but didn’t take anything.

The property manager heard the car alarms go off and went outside to investigate.

He found two vehicles had broken windows and contacted the owners.

Nothing was missing, but one car had been rummaged through, Oct. 28 at 1064 Kirkland, Ave. N.E., Renton.
