Driving under the influence: At 1:20 a.m. Dec. 19 around North Southport Drive and Lake Washington Boulevard North, an officer on patrol spotted a vehicle driving erratically. The officer initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, who showed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for DUI.

Spotted with paraphernalia: At 7:52 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 20 block of Southwest Seventh Street, an officer patrolling the area observed a subject leaning against a wall with drug paraphernalia on the ground. The officer contacted the man, who admitted to smoking narcotics from the paraphernalia located at the scene. The man was arrested and booked into jail.

Shot at Christmas party: At 3:59 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 300 block of Hardie Avenue Northwest, officers responded to a report of a man with a gunshot wound to the arm. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim, who stated he was at the location with a friend for a Christmas party when an argument escalated. The suspect then took out a firearm and shot at the victim, then left in her vehicle. An area check was conducted, and the suspect was not located. Renton Fire treated the victim for his injuries and transported him to a hospital with minor injuries.

Customer throws credit card reader: At 9:46 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 4700 block of Northeast Fourth Street, officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim was contacted and told officers that an order was placed for the suspect over the phone. When the suspect arrived to pick up her order, she began to argue with the employees. The argument escalated when the suspect picked up the credit card reader and threw it at the victim, striking him. Responding officers located the suspect and issued a criminal citation for fourth-degree assault.

Armed ATM robbery: At 7:17 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 1000 block of Park Avenue North, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery. Officers contacted the victim, who stated he was using an ATM when a man approached, pointed a firearm at him, and demanded he withdraw a large amount of cash. The suspect then demanded the victim’s wallet, debit card, phone, and ATM password before fleeing with the victim’s belongings. The investigation is ongoing.

Gun fired at party: At 10:43 p.m. Dec. 30 in the 2900 block of Southeast 10th Street, an officer responded by phone to a report of an assault. The victim stated that while they were at a party, the suspect fired a shot inside a home, then pointed the gun at them. The victim was able to leave uninjured. The investigation is ongoing.

Sexual offense investigation: On Dec. 29, this incident was reported as a sexual offense. This is an active investigation prompted by a tip from out of the area. Given the sensitive nature of the investigation, no information is available at this time.

Domestic assault: At 11:24 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 2100 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim stated that her husband assaulted her following an argument. The husband was arrested and booked into jail.

Domestic assault: At 3:09 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 2100 block of Southwest Sunset Boulevard, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim stated her partner assaulted her and prevented her from calling 911. He was arrested and booked into jail.

Drug paraphernalia arrest: At 3:15 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 200 block of South Second Street, an officer observed a subject smoking suspected illegal drugs. The officer contacted the suspect, and during a search following the arrest, the officer located suspected drug paraphernalia and burnt tin foil in his pockets. The suspect was cited and released at the scene.
