An on-going feud between two Boeing workers turned physical on Aug. 24.

The two men work at the 737 production plant on Logan Avenue. At about 1 p.m., they got into a physical altercation when one of the men walked by the other one and hit him with his fist and elbow.

The victim told police that five or six years ago, he had been falsely accused of turning in another employee for harassing union employees.

The harassment involved the other employee threatening to kill the man, which the man reported to the union, but he said the union did nothing.

The man then got a court order to keep the other man from harassing him at work. The order expired two years ago and according to the victim, the assailant has gone out of his way since then to make rude and intimidating comments to him.

On Aug. 24 the man turned and “snickered” as he walked away after assaulting the man.There were no witnesses and the suspect had gone home for the day.

 

Surveillance camera stolen

Someone stole a surveillance camera from the Cascade Village Shopping Center overnight on Aug. 22.

The manager of the complex reported that someone stole a closed-circuit surveillance camera valued at $3,000 between 2 p.m. Aug 22 and 7 a.m., Aug. 23.

In the weeks prior to this crime there were similar thefts involving stolen surveillance cameras. The camera was perched on the west side of the building on the roof.

 

Pit bull euthanized

A pit bull with a history of biting people was captured and euthanized on Aug. 20.

On Aug. 13, police tried unsuccessfully to capture the dog in the 15700 block 117th Avenue Southeast.

The dog had been tasered three times but didn’t slow down. An officer even shot at it when it charged him but missed.

The dog had bitten three people previously. An unknown citizen trapped the dog in a car and police took custody of it.

On Aug. 17 the owner released its ownership of the dog, after initially denying ownership. Now, the family doesn’t want the dog.

 

Couple harasses doctor

A Renton couple harassed a doctor at a local dermatology clinic on Aug. 19.

The couple came to the clinic on Southwest 43rd Street, so that the wife could be seen for a skin condition.

They both became upset during the examination finding fault with the doctor’s suggested treatment, which according to them involved steroids.

The couple sent multiple faxes, an email and left a voicemail for the doctor, using profane language and threatening not to pay for services rendered.

Police contacted the couple and they said they contacted the doctor multiple times to make sure their concerns were heard.

Police trespassed them from the clinic for a year and referred them to the Police Department to make their own statement if they wished.

Later that day, the same couple was trespassed from a bank on South Third Street for a year for being a nuisance and harassment by telephone of bank staff.

 

13-year-old shoots himself

A 13-year-old accidentally shot himself in the leg while handling a pistol on Aug. 21.

The boy was trying to put a scope on a Smith & Wesson Model 22S pistol when he told police he fingered the trigger and shot the firearm.

He was transported to Valley Medical Center by a private vehicle. Police questioned the boy’s mother and her boyfriend about the incident.

Both their stories and the boy’s matched, so officers determined the incident was an accident.
