The Office of the State Fire Marshall has issued a noise advisory for Renton tomorrow as a demonstration on illegal fireworks will be conducted at about 1:30 p.m. at the Renton Fire Training Center, 1900 Lind Ave.

The Fire Marshall’s office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms will be conducting a press conference highlighting both illegal fireworks and improvised explosive devices.

Business and residents located within a quarter mile of the training center should anticipate several instances of a loud report, possible ground vibration and a small amount of smoke during the demonstration.

Safety precautions are being taken to insure that the event poses no threat to businesses, residents or their property.

This demonstration is conducted every year in the run-up to July 4 to provide the media of examples of the destructiveness caused by these devices.
