They weren’t screaming for ice cream, but seniors at the Renton Senior Activity Center were giddy as they celebrated National Chocolate Ice Cream Day at the center.

The special day was marked by playing “Ring Around the Ice Cream,” the pre-lunch warm-up. Seniors lined up to toss rings at sugar cones, taped upside down several feet in front of them, to a tabletop.

There were hoots and hollers as several people managed to toss a ring over the cones. As lunch was served, seniors were treated to their cone, filled with chocolate ice cream.
