Gun pointing after argument: At 12:51 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 3700 block of East Valley Road, officers responded to a threat with a firearm call. Officers learned the suspect entered the business and got into an argument with two employees. The argument turned physical with the suspect pointing his gun at the victims. The suspect was arrested on investigation of first-degree assault.
Man peeing in yard naked: At 3 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 12700 block of Southeast 173rd Place, officers responded to a lewd behavior call. The caller reported that a male neighbor routinely leaves his home naked and urinates in the yard. Officers attempted to contact the residents, but no one answered the door. The case has been referred to Adult Protective Services.
Damage to home: At 6:32 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 600 block of South Fifth Street, officers responded to a malicious mischief call where the victim reported new damage to the side of his home. He stated that it occurred between 9 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. that day. The house had scrapes, and a few boards were lifted. The officer documented the damage and searched for surveillance video, but there wasn’t any in the area.
Smoking drugs in public: At 3 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 200 block of Morris Avenue South, officers witnessed a man smoking suspected illegal drugs. When approached, the suspect eventually admitted to smoking illicit drugs. After his arrest, officers located suspected paraphernalia and suspected fentanyl and heroin. He was arrested.
Shoplifter arrested: At 11:30 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 1200 block of North Landing Way, officers responded to a shoplifter. Store security had watched a man steal a pair of shoes. This suspect had also been previously trespassed from the stores. He was arrested for criminal trespass and booked into jail.
