A man is in custody Thursday morning after he apparently pepper sprayed employees at a mini-mart on Rainier Avenue, then fled.

Emergency dispatchers received a call of a suspicious vehicle, which may have been occupied by the suspect, according to Terri Vickers, a spokeswoman for the Renton Police Department.

The suspect then fled in a vehicle to Perimeter Road in the Renton Municipal Airport, where he was apprehended at about 9:35 a.m.

The incident drew a large police response to the area.
