An artist’s reception is 5-7 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at the theater, 1717 Maple Valley Highway, presented by the Renton Municipal Arts Commission.

Haggman’s world has been transformed since she began painting in 1986. She always knew painting would be an important part of her life, although she hasn’t always had as much time to do it as she wished, she says. She paints a variety of subjects, but is drawn to landscapes of trees, beaches and rocks.

Haggman is a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS). She is a past workshop and membership chair and currently the webmaster of NWWS. Haggman has exhibited extensively and placed many juried awards with her work. She teaches watercolor classes at the Renton Senior Center.
