The Liberty Patriots soccer team fell to Mercer Island Wednesday in a 2-1 overtime thriller.

Liberty got on the board first with a goal in the sixth minute from Ethan Diaz off a Michael DuVall assist.

The scored then stayed the same until the 78th minute of the game when Mercer Island was able to tie it up and send the game to overtime.

In the 89th minute of play, Mercer Island was able to get the game-winner into the net.
