Sixteen candidates running in the five legislative districts that include parts of Renton have been invited to appear this evening (Thursday) at the Renton Chamber of Commerce 2010 Legislative Reception.

The reception is 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Valley Medical Center, 400 S. 43rd St., in the Healing Garden between the main hospital and the Northwest Pavilion.

Each candidate will have the chance to answer the question:

What are your ideas to promote the economy, business and job creation in the private sector?

Renton is in legislative districts 5, 11, 37, 41 and 47.

The event is hosted by Valley Medical Center and sponsored by The Boeing Co., Waste Management, and Renton Technical College.
