July 27 shooting victim identified

The King County Medical Examiner's Office released the name of the victim from Friday's shooting and car fire Monday afternoon.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office released the name of the victim from Friday’s shooting and car fire. The victim, Ramal Richardson’s cause of death was ruled a homicide due to multiple gun shot wounds.

The Renton Police Department is now investigating the case. So far police have not been able to determine if the shooting that happened about 1 a.m., July 27, was gang related.

Richardson was 26-years-old and no suspects have been named in the incident.

On Friday, detectives were developing suspects and doing background on the victim to determine, “who might have reason to dislike him,” said Detective Robert Onishi, a spokesperson for the Police Department.
