The Washington state Department of Transportation is adding a northbound and southbound lane to I-405 between State Route 167 and State Route 169. The state will also construct a new half-diamond interchange at Talbot Road and reconstruct the Benson Road Bridge over I-405.

• Monday, Sept. 28 – morning of Friday, Oct. 2 – Crews will close two lanes on northbound I-405 between SR 167 and SR 169 nightly from midnight to 4:30 a.m. for construction work.
• Monday, Sept. 28 – morning of Friday, Oct. 2 – Crews will close two right lanes on southbound I-405 from SR 169 to SR 167 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for construction work.
Travel impacts on Renton city streets
• Thursday, Oct. 1 – Crews will close a lane on Benson Road between Main Street and the Benson Road bridge over I-405 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction work. Other lane closures are possible during the week, too.
