Hazen’s Sarah Hart has been selected as the Washington Interscholastic Athletic Association’s female track Athlete of the Week.

Hart, a junior, won the 800- and 1600-meter races at the All-City Track meet on May 8 and also took fourth place in the 3200 meters to help the Highlanders take home the All-City Track trophy for the first time since 1995.

In recognition of their accomplishment, each Athlete of the Week winner receives a congratulatory letter from WIAA Executive Director, Mike Colbrese, a commemorative WIAA State Athlete of the Week t-shirt, and a certificate.
