Hazen junior builds handrails at city park for Eagle Scout project

Alexander (Alex) Gummere, who belongs to Boy Scout Troop 499, as his Eagle Scout project built and installed handrails on an existing footbridge at the City of Renton's tennis courts on Talbot Hill.

Alexander (Alex) Gummere, who belongs to Boy Scout Troop 499, as his Eagle Scout project built and installed handrails on an existing footbridge at the City of Renton’s tennis courts on Talbot Hill.

He worked with several city departments to get the necessary blueprints and details of the requirements to complete the project.

Alex, a junior at Hazen High School, is the son of Daryl Gummere and Jona Gummere. His scoutmaster is Bill Burris. The troop meets at Hazelwod Elementary School.
