Gunpoint robbery: At 1:42 a.m. July 28 in the 300 block of Southwest 19th Street, officers were dispatched to a robbery. The victim told officers that he had been hanging out with a female all day when two other females arrived and robbed him of cash and credit cards at gunpoint. Officers spoke with private security and staff to gather information on the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
Woman assaulted and taken to hospital: At 10:33 a.m. July 29 in the 400 block of South Second Street, officers were dispatched to an assault. Arriving officers contacted the victim, who had facial injuries. She was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The victim was contacted again after she arrived at the hospital. She stated that she made plans to return property to two female suspects. Both arrived in a vehicle, and one assaulted her after a disagreement. Officers performed an area check to locate the vehicle, but it was not found.
Indecent liberties: At 9:45 a.m. July 30 in the 100 block of Yakima Avenue Southeast, officers were dispatched to a sexual assault report. Officers interviewed the victim, who stated that she was assaulted in her bedroom by an unknown male. The victim had told another person at the home that it was a staff member. There is probable cause for indecent liberties. The case is still under investigation.
Intoxicated driving crash: At 11:15 p.m. July 30 at Maple Valley Highway and 140th Way Southeast, officers responded to a collision. Arriving officers interviewed both parties involved in the collision. The suspected causing driver exhibited signs of impairment and was given a field sobriety test. He failed the test and was booked for driving under the influence.
Person dumping trash: At 12:41 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 500 block of Monster Road Southwest, officers responded to a threat with a weapon report. Arriving officers contacted the victim, who stated he observed the suspect dumping trash on business property. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the victim. The victim provided detailed suspect information. Officers contacted the suspect, and he was taken into custody for assault without incident.
