Foundation’s Circle of Giving Awards celebration is Jan. 16

Seventeen local organizations, including the Renton School District, will receive grants totaling $26,500 from the Circle of Giving Campaign, chaired by King Parker and Dr. Michael Hardy.

The Renton Community Foundation’s 13th annual Circle of Giving Awards celebration is Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Seventeen local organizations, including the Renton School District, will receive grants totaling $26,500 from the Circle of Giving Campaign, chaired by King Parker and Dr. Michael Hardy.

“Due to a couple of donors who actually gave more this year, the Circle of Giving Campaign came in slightly ahead of last year’s total, just when so many of our organizations need the help,” said Lynn Bohart, foundation executive director

An additional 16 organizations will split $7,250 in grants from The Next Curve Fund. The Next Curve is a membership organization comprised of young professionals who donate $250 a year each, do community service and get involved.

The free and public awards celebration is 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Renton Senior Activity Center, 211 Burnett Ave. N., in Renton.
