First Renton Services Academy begins Sept. 17

Ask questions, learn about city functions, tour some of the city facilities, and get the inside scoop on how the City of Renton works for you.

Are you interested in learning about the daily operations of the City of Renton? Have you ever wondered about the different functions of the individual departments and how they work together?

Become a better informed member of the community by being part of the first graduating class of the Renton Academy of City Services (RACS). Ask questions, learn about city functions, tour some of the city facilities, and get the inside scoop on how the City of Renton works for you. A presentation will be given by a staff member from each city department.

All sessions are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at Renton City Hall unless otherwise noted. You must sign up for the series of classes, which will run from Sept. 17 through Nov. 18.

Participants must complete a minimum of eight classes to be eligible for graduation.

You may register for the academy by calling the Renton Community Center (RCC) at 425-430-6700, in person at RCC or on-line if you have your family pin and barcode number at cybersignup.org.

Please reference class #52793 when registering.  Deadline for registering is Monday, Sep. 9.
