FilmFrenzy is Oct. 17-19

The Renton Community Marketing Campaign is holding the first annual Renton FilmFrenzy Oct. 17 - 19. This filmmaking competition gives filmmakers 50 hours to write, shoot, edit and turn in a short film (four minutes or less). The film must be completely shot in Renton.

The Renton Community Marketing Campaign is holding the first annual Renton FilmFrenzy Oct. 17 – 19. This filmmaking competition gives filmmakers 50 hours to write, shoot, edit and turn in a short film (four minutes or less). The film must be completely shot in Renton.

Additional requirements will be e-mailed to participants at the beginning of the competition, which may include incorporating a line of dialogue, a task in Renton or a specific location in Renton.

The films will be judged by local film makers, film critics and a representative from the Renton Municipal Arts Commission.

Top films will receive Curvees and cash prizes during an awards presentation Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center. All films will be screened at various locations on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, during a Downtown Renton “FilmWalk.”
