Prince now leads by 341 votes after Thursday’s results were posted, an increase of 138 over Wednesday. After the initial general election results were posted Tuesday night, Prince led by 128 votes.

Thursday’s results represent about 34 percent of the city’s 45,539 registered voters. While the actual number count has grown, the percentage difference between the candidates in all races has changed little.

The two are running for the council seat held for 12 years by King Parker, who is retiring from the council.

Mayor Denis Law was running unopposed for his second term. City Council member Marcie Palmer also was running unopposed.

Here are the City Council results posted Thursday afternoon:

Position 3: Incumbent Marcie Palmer, 9,952 or 98.54 percent, unopposed. There were 147 write-in votes.

Position 4: Sarah Sanoy-Wright, 3,383 or 28.87 percent, incumbent Greg Taylor, 8,289 or 70.74 percent

Position 5: Ed Prince, 6,165 or 51.22 percent, Robin Jones, 5,824 or 48.39 percent.

Position 7: Phyllis Forister, 4,215 or 35.24 percent, incumbent Don Persson, 7,711 or 64.47 percent.

Three members of the Renton School Board, Todd Franceschina, Lynn Desmarais and Denise Elder were running unopposed.
