When police arrived to Freddie’s Club in Renton, they found three security officers out of breath and holding down the 34-year-old man.

The suspect was described as over 6-feet tall and weighing in excess of 350 pounds.

He appeared to be intoxicated and caused a disturbance after challenging other club patrons to fight and not leaving the premises when asked.

The 34-year-old began to fight with security and had to be detained until police arrived.

Before he was taken to jail, he kicked a police officer, used profanity toward police and another patron and refused to sit in the patrol car.

The man was arrested for investigation of assault, breach of peace and issued a criminal citation.

Man tazed for hitting woman

Police tazed a suspect into submission after he repeatedly assaulted a Renton woman on Feb. 7.

Police were called to a residence in the 600 block of South 17th Street at about 10:30 p.m.

An officer observed a 40-year-old intoxicated man punching and kicking a 50-year-old woman in the middle of the street next to a vehicle.

The man continued to assault the woman, despite police demands for him to stop.

Apparently, the woman explained that she had two men over to her residence to help with yard work and then invited them to stay for dinner.

The men had been drinking, so the woman was going to drive them home individually.

She started to leave with one man and the 40-year-old ran up to the driver’s door and pulled her out of the vehicle and started to assault her.

The man was arrested for investigation of fourth-degree assault.

A 25-year-old man was arrested after violently confronting his girlfriend about her meth use on Feb. 2.

Police were called to Index Place Northeast just after 8 a.m.

A 29-year-old woman reported that her boyfriend screamed at her, backed her into a corner and slapped her with his open hand.

He then dragged her to the front door, telling her to get out. The argument was supposedly in response to the woman having smoked meth.

She said that her boyfriend has never hit her before. They have been dating for six years and have two children together.
