Council expected to discuss library designs Monday

The council meets for its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall with a Committee of the Whole meeting preceding at 6 p.m.

The Renton City Council is expected to take up the issue of the new Cedar River Library designs as part of their regular meeting Monday night at City Hall.

KCLS presented the council with its latest designs, including one with a 19,500-square-foot footprint, during the April 15 Committee of the Whole meeting.

The council will discuss the project’s budget as well as the design.

Prior to the regular meeting at 7 p.m., the Committee of the Whole will meet at 6 p.m. for a briefing regarding the Benson Hill Community Plan as well as a discussion of affordable housing incentives for the Highlands.
