City, school district offering free lunch for low-income children

The City of Renton and Renton School District are offering free lunch for children ages 1 to 18 at 13 city sites this summer.

Lunches will be provided Monday through Friday from June 23-Aug. 14 at parks, community centers and apartments throughout Renton.

Eight community partners will help serve the lunches.

The summer lunch program was established to help feed students in low-income areas during summer vacation.

No registration or proof of income or residence is required to eat the lunches, but they must be eaten on site.
