City Hall evacuated for possible hazardous exposure

An employee in the facility was possibly exposed to fentanyl, according to Renton fire officials.

Renton City Hall was evacuated Tuesday, Aug, 25 following a possible Fentanyl exposure to a city employee.

Firefighter and first responder units from Renton Regional Fire Authority, Puget Sound Fire, Skyway Fire, Port of Seattle, King County Medic One and Renton police arrived to the scene around 9:30 a.m. As of around 11 a.m., hazmat crews were entering the building.

Traffic is expected to be impacted outside city hall as evacuations took place.
