Celebrate 50 years of Fairwood Saturday at Petrovitsky Park

The day is free for all but you are encouraged to bring a donation of nonperishable food or toiletries for the Maple Valley Food Bank.

King County Parks and King County Councilman Reagan Dunn have teamed up to host a day-long festival on Aug. 27 at Petrovitsky Park in honor of the community of Fairwood’s 50th Anniversary.

The day is free for all but you are encouraged to bring a donation of nonperishable food or toiletries for the Maple Valley Food Bank.

Fairwood 50 5K Fun Run kicks off events at 9 a.m.

The fun continues between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Fairwood 50 Community Celebration.

A full afternoon of fun with games, crafts, a concert, the first responders show and tell.

The night winds down with a 6 p.m. Alaska Airlines Movie Night.
