Cedar River reaches Phase 2 flood alert, minor flooding expected

The King County Flood Warning Center has issued a Phase 2 flood alert for the Cedar River, with minor flooding possible in limited areas.

As of 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, the Cedar River near Landsburg reached a flow of 2,970 cubic feet per second, slightly higher than the 2,800-CFS threshold for a Phase 2 flood alert level.

At these flows, only minor flooding could be expected in the vicinity of Jones Road near 156th Place Southeast. Drivers in the area should be watchful for water over roads and potential road closures.
