The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Puget Sound is hosting an American Kennel Club Responsible Dog Owner Day Sunday (Sept. 25) at the Cedar River Off-leash Dog Park.

The event is noon to 4 p.m. The park is across the Cedar River from the Renton Community Center on the Cedar River Trail.

The goal of the free event is to support the AKC in promoting responsible dog ownership through education and information. It includes a $10 Canine Good Citizen test that shows how well a dog is mannered. Information about different breeds, rescue groups, dog care, and activities will be available. Veterinarians will be on hand to answer questions.
