Brothers cited for alcohol | Police Blotter

The following information was compiled from City of Renton police reports. Police cited a Woodinville man for supplying a minor with alcohol on June 22. Police were alerted to suspicious people in the 5000 block of Northeast 18th Street at about midnight.

Police cited a Woodinville man for supplying a minor with alcohol on June 22.

Police were alerted to suspicious people in the 5000 block of Northeast 18th Street at about midnight.

The caller said she heard people knocking on the side of her residence. One of the people she described as a white male wearing a white t-shirt and a red baseball cap.

Police found two men, one matching that description standing outside a vehicle approximately one and a half blocks away. The two were trying to help their 19-year-old friend, who was passed out in the passenger seat of the car. The 19-year-old had been drinking tequila.

It was later discovered that the 19-year-old’s brother, who is 21, had given him shots of tequila.

The 21-year-old was cited for supplying liquor to a minor. The 19-year-old was cited for being a minor intoxicated in a public place.

 

Transit center fight

A fight broke out at the Renton Transit Center on June 22.

A 49-year-old intoxicated man harassed a 17-year-old woman by yelling at her and calling her racial slurs. He got in her face and followed her and a friend across the street to a bus terminal. Once the 49-year-old started to lunge at her male friend, her friend swung at the man in self-defense.

Police intervened and broke up the two. They arrested the 49-year-old for investigation of breach of peace.

 

Multiple charges

A Seattle man was stopped in Renton and arrested for multiple charges.

Police went to an apartment complex in the 12200 block of Southeast Petrovitsky Road for a report of a threat to shoot and rob a person. Around 1:30 p.m., police found the suspect’s vehicle in front of the building, trying to leave. They called the suspect driver and passenger out of the vehicle in a high risk traffic stop. Inside the car police found a gun and the driver alerted them to some marijuana also in the car.

The passenger claimed he didn’t know anything about the gun or threats and after being cleared by police, he was released.

The gun was a loaded semi-automatic and the suspect driver denied any knowledge of it. He was arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon without a valid permit and outstanding warrants for parking tickets.

 

Gun pulled

An unknown man pulled a gun on a Kent man while he was walking in Renton on June 10.

The man told police he was walking toward the main entrance of an apartment complex in the 2200 block of Benson Road when the incident occurred around  3 p.m. A blue Honda pulled up beside him. The passenger started a verbal confrontation with the man.

Then the passenger said, “I got something for you,” indicating he had a gun.

The Kent man saw what he thought was a black pistol in the passenger’s hand.

The man told the men he didn’t want any trouble and they drove off.

 

Costly dispute

A dispute between a Renton couple turned costly on June 14.

A 42-year-old woman called police to her residence in the 1100 block of Union Avenue Northeast around 5 p.m.

The woman couldn’t start her car and was told by a mechanic that water was in her gas tank. The damage to the vehicle was close to $500.

The woman said her husband threatened to damage her vehicle the night before.

Police found the 44-year-old man outside of the residence near a rear sliding door. He was wearing a backpack with a gas can sticking out the back. He also had two lighters on him and smelled of gasoline.

Police arrested him for investigation of domestic violence harassment and reckless endangerment.
