Blotter: Teens beat man at Cascade Shopping Center

The following information is according to City of Renton police reports:

A 45-year-old man was beaten in the Cascade Shopping Center parking lot by about five male teenagers, Feb. 17.

He was walking by at about midnight when they began yelling at him. He told them to be quiet and one youth responded, “You can’t talk to us that way.”

When police interviewed him at the hospital, he couldn’t remember the details of what happened, but his memory was coming back.

He had a broken nose, facial fracture and a cracked orbital socket.

Burglary

A suspect broke into a residence on the 4100 block of Northeast Seventh Street, before realizing there was a man in the house, Feb. 15. He left.

The man was showering upstairs. When he came downstairs, he saw the door open and a broken window.

There are no suspects.

Domestic assault

A boyfriend assaulted his girlfriend, before kicking her out of his home on the 13000 block of Southeast 151st Street.

Police found the girl walking outside without shoes in pajama pants and a tank top in 50-degree rainy weather.

She had red marks on her body, her shirt was torn and bruises were starting to show.

The boyfriend had scratch marks and she had bitten his finger.

They had gotten into an argument about money, as one of them hadn’t been working or paying rent.

Police arrested the boyfriend, who said the girlfriend ought to go to jail.

Car keyed

A woman’s 2006 black BMW was keyed outside the downtown Fred Meyer Feb. 16. There are no suspects.

Hot yoga thief

A woman’s leather jacket and car keys were taken from her cubby hole at Birkam Hot Yoga Feb. 9.

After getting her spare keys, she was relieved to find all of her belongings in her car. There are no suspects.

Homeless man beaten

A transient was beaten by four or five males on the 300 block of Rainier Avenue South.

The man had been drinking alcohol. He didn’t remember how he got into the fight, but he found himself on the ground Feb. 17.

He was hit about 30 times and had a bloody nose and swollen eye.

DUI

A man was arrested for DUI on the 200 block of Main Avenue South Feb. 16.

Police pulled him over when they saw him driving on the wrong side of the road.

He had a blood alcohol level of .144, but he told police he only had one Stella Artois beer.
