Renton resident Arna Waag Nicholson celebrated her 103rd birthday on Sunday, surrounded by one of her two sons, grandsons, a great-great-grandson, in-laws and family friends. They all gathered at Everlasting Adult Family Home to celebrate.

Son David Nicholson credits the home’s caregivers, the husband and wife team of Gaily and Teo Sairez, for his mother’s longevity.

“The support that they’ve given to Renton old people is beyond compare,” said Nicholson.

A steady stream of kindness and good Filipino food have allowed his mother to see this milestone, he said.
