The 3.2 magnitude quake was recorded at 1:22 p.m. Its epicenter was near Lake Desire. At that magnitude a quake is expected to cause little or no damage.

It’s the largest quake in the Northwest since a 4.1 magnitude quake struck off Vancouver Island on Sept. 15. About a week earlier, a 6.4 magnitude quake struck in that same area.

Quakes are routinely felt in the Seattle area; they are monitored by the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
