From a press release:

Raphael Sanchez of Renton is now $200,000 richer after playing Washington’s Lottery $200,000 Super Cash Scratch.

He claimed his prize at the Olympia Regional Office on July 10, and told Lottery officials that he originally intended to buy a different Scratch ticket but it wasn’t available. He chose this one instead. When he realized he won, he said, “I ran like crazy to my brother’s car!”

To celebrate this big win, Sanchez is going to throw a party for his family and friends, and will plan a trip to Hawaii or Mexico. For long term plans with the money, Sanchez mentioned that he’ll add looking for a new house and a new car to his to-do list.

Sanchez purchased his ticket at 101 Deli & Grocery Mart at 534 Rainier Ave. in Renton. A long-time Washington’s Lottery player, Sanchez has won a $500 prize in the past, making this his first big win.

Proceeds from Washington’s Lottery benefit the Washington Opportunity Pathways Account, providing scholarships to college students statewide. To learn more about Washington’s Lottery, its beneficiaries and to review all up-to-date winning numbers, please visit www.walottery.com.
