Youth artist shows origami

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission is presenting the original origami quilts by local youth artist Brielle Creaser through May 1 at Carco Theater.

Brielle Creaser, 11, enjoys creating art projects in all mediums. She learned how to make two-dimensional origami squares in the fourth grade.

Recently, she has been nominated to represent her school at the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. The conference provides opportunities for exceptional students from across the country to learn about leadership and social advocacy in order to make a positive impact in their communities.

She says she’s excited about the Carco Theatre show as a way to provide exposure to her unique style of quilting. For more information about the artist, visit www.origamiquilt.blogspot.comwww.origamiquilt.blogspot.com.
