Senior 50+ Resource Expo at Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center: From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, this event includes presentations on a variety of subjects such as health and wellness, housing options and a variety of aging topics. Bring friends and family to explore the positive side of aging while browsing the 35+ vendor exhibit displays and check out the Senior Activity Center. Renton Regional Fire Authority will also be on-site for blood pressure and glucose monitoring, along with flu shots from Costco (requires an insurance card). Family Field Day at Liberty Park: This free family event goes from 1-3 p.m. where folks can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor fun, like jump rope, sack races, balloon toss, inflatable obstacle course and more. Pre-register at rentonwa.gov/register. Located at 1101 Bronson Way North.
Sept. 30
Renton Farmers Market: The final city farmers market ends its 2025 season at its new location on Williams Avenue South between South 2nd Street and South 3rd Street. Along with vendors, the Washington State University’s Master Gardeners will be there each week to answer garden-related questions.

Free Museum Day at the Renton History Museum: Enjoy the wonders of the past with free admission to the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free museum days are every first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month. Located at 235 Mill Avenue South in Renton.

The 2nd Annual Battle of the Acoustic Bands at Drum Roll Wine: Kicking off at 3 p.m., this musical competition event will highlight local acoustic acts who will be judged on their musicality, emotional impact and overall originality. First place will win $300, a Drum Roll Wine T-shirt for each performer and an opening slot at a future Drum Roll Wine After Hours concert. The Renton American Legion Fred Hancock Post 19 Business Meeting: The Renton American Legion Fred Hancock Post 19 meets the second Tuesday of every month, except July and August, at 7 p.m. at the Post Hall, 3224 NE 12th Street, in the Renton Highlands, under the water tower. All veterans welcome. Most vets eligible for membership. America’s premier patriotic veterans organization and the prime driver of the original G.I. Bill, the Legion focuses on service to veterans and has influenced considerable social change in America, won hundreds of benefits for veterans, and produced many important programs for the community, children and youth.

Renton Parkrun at Cedar River Trail: This weekly 5K community event takes place every Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Cedar River Trail trailhead by the I-405 overpass. This free event does require registration but is meant to be a fun event where walkers, joggers, runners, volunteers and spectators can come together.
