Oct. 28

Senior Holiday Craft Bazaar: At Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy this all-ages bazaar that offers handcrafted items —perfect for Christmas and holiday presents — made by seniors 50 and older throughout the area. Olde Fashioned Halloween Party at Gateway Park: This extra fun downtown Halloween party will be from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be a costume contest (for those on four legs as well as two) games, vendors, candy and a chance to complete a riddle card game by finding all the clues throughout the downtown business fronts.

Oct. 28-29

KingCon at Renton Pavilion Event Center: A science, cosplay and gaming convention, KingCon is a family-oriented event that will go from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the first day and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second day. KingCon includes panels, special guests, a burlesque show, cosplay contests, prop contest, photography contest, comic book illustration contest, vendors, a video game competition and more. Nov. 1

Free Museum Day at the Renton History Museum: Enjoy the wonders of the past with free admission to the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free museum days are every first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month.

Nov. 14

The Renton American Legion Fred Hancock Post 19: This organization meets the second Tuesday of every month, except July and August, at 7 p.m. at the Post Hall (3224 NE 12th St.) in the Renton Highlands under the water tower. All veterans are welcome. Most vets are eligible for membership. America’s premier patriotic veterans’ organization and the prime driver of the original G. I. Bill, the Legion focuses on service to veterans, has influenced considerable social change in America, won hundreds of benefits for veterans and produced many important programs for the community, children and youth. Come join area vets. Meeting dates for 2023 are Nov. 14, and Dec. 12.

Nov. 18

Gobble Wobble Wine Walk Renton Downtown: A wine walk for autumn, this year’s Gobble Wobble will allow wine connoisseurs to sample from nine wineries while touring downtown (and maybe get some ideas for holiday presents). The event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with check-in at Rain City Market. Advanced tickets are $30 while day-of tickets are $40 and are available online. Tickets are one sale for $25 until Oct. 15. Must be 21 years of age or older to purchase tickets and identification must be given. For more information, email director@rentondowntown.com

Saturdays, Oct. 28 to Nov. 25

Renton Parkrun at Cedar River Trail: This weekly 5K community event takes place every Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Cedar River Trail trailhead by the I-405 overpass. This free event does require registration but is meant to be a fun event where walkers, joggers, runners, volunteers and spectators can come together.
