Soggy dogs get their cardio in at the Candy Cane 5K | Photos

Over 400 people signed up for this year’s annual K9 Candy Cane 5K Fun Run and Walk in Renton, and despite the heavy rain, humans and dogs alike came out in droves. As soon as the clock struck 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, the runners and walkers were off, making their way along the Cedar River Trail.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes were in attendance, some in holiday regalia, many in raincoats and all accompanied by dutiful humans. The 5K was also combined with the annual Pet Food Drive, where donated dry and canned food will go toward “furry friends in need.”
