The Seattle International Film Festival will once again feature Renton as one of its venues to screen films during this year’s event, May 22 to 28.

Last year’s event featured Seattle director Lynn Shelton and her film “Touchy Feely.”

The opening night gala is scheduled for May 22 at the Renton Pavilion Event Center located at the Piazza downtown.

Music from Miles from Chicago, a wine tasting from Cedar River Cellars and food from Rain City Catering and various local restaurants are all part of the evening.

Throughout the week, films will be screened at the IKEA Performing Arts Center at Renton High School.

This year’s films were scheduled to be announced May 1, too late for this edition of the paper.

This is the fourth year the festival has included Renton.
