River Days Weekend is finally here!

The main event is all weekend long at Liberty Park, with artist booths, a kids zone, two stages and, of course, plenty of great food at the Nibble of Renton!

The biggest event of the summer is finally here as Renton River days gets under way!

The main event is all weekend long at Liberty Park, with artist booths, a kids zone, two stages and, of course, plenty of great food at the Nibble of Renton!

Plus, don’t forget these fun events:

• Line up on South Third Street from Shattuck Avenue to Liberty Park starting 10 a.m. on July 23 to see Renton River Days Parade. Kent Phillips of STAR 101.5 FM will be this year’s parade announcer.

• Check out the Art Market from July 22 – 24 at Gianini Stadium at Liberty Park. Vendors will be selling hand-crafted crafts and art. The market will be open 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on July 22 and 23, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 24.

• The 20th annual Chalk Art Contest will be held July 23 on the tennis courts in Liberty Park. Registration begins at noon. Awards will be presented at 4 p.m. All participating children will receive a prize. Participation is free and all materials will be provided. Call 425.652.1236 for more information.

• The 18th annual Cedar River Quilters Guild Exhibition will held July 23 – 24 at Renton Community Center. The exhibition will be held 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on July 23, and from noon – 5 p.m. on July 24.

Wenatchee Youth Circus performs at Cedar River park at 1:30 and 6 p.m. today, Friday, and 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $2/pp for children under 18, and $3/pp for adults 18 and over.  Tickets will be available for sale July 22 and July 23 in Liberty Park at the Festival Information Booth, and 30 minutes prior to each of the three show times at the Circus seating entrance in Cedar River Park.

• And it all comes to climax with the annual Rubber Ducky Derby, launched from the Houser Way Bridge at 4:30 p.m. Sunday!
