The Renton Office of Emergency Management will be on hand next week at CARCO Theatre to discuss the city’s emergency plan as part of Meaningful Movies of Renton’s showing of the documentary, “Cascadia: The Hidden Fire.”
The film shares extraordinary seismic events and discoveries around the world, provides an education on current earthquake risk, and explains the geology of our Cascadia Region and what a big earthquake could look like in the future.
A community discussion on seismic preparedness in Renton will follow the film.
The City of Renton Office of Emergency Management is committed to getting Renton ready for anything. From household preparedness to region-wide coordinated exercises, Emergency Management is working to prepare for the worst disasters Renton could face.
The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. April 5 at CARCO Theatre, 1717 Maple Valley Hwy.
