Vociferous library group doesn’t represent me | Letter to the editor

The vociferous group that is now demonizing KCLS is acting on a false assumption. This assumption is that anyone who voted for the Cedar River site last year, is also a KCLS opponent and against the process going on now with the city of Renton.

Assumptions………..

The vociferous group that is now demonizing KCLS is acting on a false assumption. This assumption is that anyone who voted for the Cedar River site last year, is also a KCLS opponent and against the process going on now with the city of Renton.

That’s just not true!

That vote on the library site was just that! A vote on the library site. It was not about the appointment of a group of people to interject themselves into each step of the process. It was not a vote directed to show a lack of confidence in our city government.

It was a vote on the site!

I am a taxpaying citizen of Renton and this group does not represent me. I resent the fact that so much valuable time and effort on the part of city officials and staff is spent dealing with this demanding group.

They are not representing me – they are not representing the many Renton citizens who feel our city government is working in our best interests.

An assumption that could work: that all the citizens, elected officials and staff of the City of Renton want the best for our citizens! This assumption will move the process forward!

Thanks,

Sally Rochelle, Renton
