Two good candidates for council | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

"Party lines aside it is refreshing to meet two individuals who care about Affordable Housing, openness/transparency in City Government, accessibility to City Hall and most of all possess “Servants Hearts” and a teachable spirit."

My beloved Renton would be well served by two candidates seeking office on the Renton City Council, Stuart Avery and Beth Asher.

Party lines aside it is refreshing to meet two individuals who care about Affordable Housing, openness/transparency in City Government, accessibility to City Hall and most of all possess “Servants Hearts” and a teachable spirit.

It was my pleasure to recently sit down with both candidates to share with them information regarding the “last bastion of affordable housing,” Manufactured/Mobile Homes as Renton encompasses more than 17 communities with well over 1,700 Lots/Spaces. These are both Senior Communities and Family Communities.

Our Washington State Law RCW 59.20 gives candidates the “right” to promote their candidacy in these communities.

Coming from a Renton Pioneering Family, I urge you to get up front and personal with these candidates as they seek your support so that you can make wise choices for Renton.  Be that informed voter!
