Three hospital commissioners are not serving us | Letter to the editor

I’m not surprised at Anthony Hemstad’s resignation from the UW Board of Trustees. He and two fellow Valley Medical commissioners Paul Joos and Aaron Heide have been trying to sabotage the alliance with UW Medicine from day one – an outcome that would be very detrimental to us local residents.

Given the state of our health care industry today, this alliance was an excellent move by the past Valley Medical Center Board for several reasons. It’s very unfortunate that these commissioners are behaving as they are. It’s clearly not in our best interest.
