Thank you, Renton | Letter to the editor

There are many things I could say, but that could take a lifetime. I want to thank you for showing a little social worker what true caring is! When I appealed to you for help, you came through like gang busters! Thank you for the generous outpouring of support you gave to the Salvation Army Rotary Food Bank!

There are many things I could say, but that could take a lifetime. I want to thank you for showing a little social worker what true caring is! When I appealed to you for help, you came through like gang busters! Thank you for the generous outpouring of support you gave to the Salvation Army Rotary Food Bank!  Everyone from  Key Club members, individual volunteers, the Mom’s Club, the City of Renton employees, Renton Kiwanis, Renton Rotary, Harley Davidson, Renton Police Department and individual donors showed a commitment that was steadfast and true. Thank you to Pirate Pedals, one of my  personal favorites, from “The Pirates of the Treasure Island,” who came through big time!  Because of all of you, and many more whom I don’t have space to mention, your donations of food, and funds, will help families less fortunate have a bountiful Holiday Season!  Although I am no longer with The Salvation Army, I am as always, a proud resident of the City of Renton, even though I live here vicariously via Brwn Mawr.  Keep giving! Keep loving! Keep caring and I promise to do the same! May God continue to bless each and every one of you!
