Renton benefits little from light rail

You chose an interesting political cartoon on June 21, implying that $4-a- gallon gas will push people toward light rail. This was a spurious choice for a Renton paper, since the average Renton resident will receive little or no benefit from the existing or planned light rail routes. In fact, Renton is poorly served by public transportation in general and is being bypassed by most plans. Try taking a bus from Renton to Bellevue Community College and you’ll know what I mean.
