Keep library independent, even if updates slow

I support an independent Renton library. If we join King County, there may be an initial bump in improved services; but given the economy and diversity of their service area, I question how well they will serve our community in the long term, and whether the initial savings of a few pennies/$1,000 in tax will be true in five, 10 or 20 years. Once we join, we lose our buildings and infrastructure with no turning back. I support a true RENTON library system, even if it means we update and improve the available services at a slower rate than is possible with the King County Library System.
