Cyclists ride too fast on Cedar River Trail and should be banned

The majority of cyclists don’t give any indication that they are there or are about to pass you and they are all going way faster then the posted limit. I am sickened by what happened and feel that bicycles should be banned from the Cedar River Trail in that area of high foot traffic.

I just finished reading your article (rentonreporter.com) about your recent walk on the Renton River Trail. As a runner and resident of downtown Renton, I am a frequent user of the trail. What you experienced is not uncommon, in fact it is quite typical. I have often felt that same surge of fear and wondered “What if I had turned suddenly or took a step over or even just swung my arm out?” The majority of cyclists don’t give any indication that they are there or are about to pass you and they are all going way faster then the posted limit. I am sickened by what happened and feel that bicycles should be banned from the Cedar River Trail in that area of high foot traffic.
