Another chance to replace commissioner

You may have noticed in the Renton Reporter (Oct. 16) that we have the opportunity for a chance to replace the third Incumbent Valley Medical Center Hospital Commissioner, Carolyn Parnell.

Cory Cappelletti is running against her as a write-in.

We replaced two of the long incumbent commissioners because of their involvement with approving sweetheart deals to the CEO in secret meetings, in the previous election.

Another sweetheart deal for the CEO has recently been approved in a secret meeting, where the CEO was entitled to receive a “retirement payment of $1.72 million” immediately, rather than after retiring. This only came to light, after it was announced by Mr. Hemstad, who is one of the two newly elected commissioners. You can see that replacing the two incumbents is already paying off.

All these expensive sweetheart deals are being funded from hospital fees paid by patients. This may explain why hospital visits have become so outrageously expensive.

I urge you to vote for Cory Cappelletti by writing-in his name on the ballot for Commissioner Position Two and color in the bubble. Let’s not miss out on this opportunity to replace the fiscally irresponsible incumbent commissioners.
