Th Renton resident was murdered more than a year ago and this week the prime suspect, Ezekiel James Watkins of Kent, pleaded not guilty to the charges of murdering his former girlfriend.

Chou’s family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Renton Technical College GED Scholarship Fund.

“By helping students complete their high school education, something Kathy never had the chance to do, you will be investing in a stronger future in her memory,” said Susanna Williams, RTC college relations and foundation director in a email.

Chou was a senior at Lindbergh High School when she disappeared more than a year ago.

Gifts can be sent to the Renton Technical College Foundation care of Renton Technical College 3000 NE Fourth St Renton, WA 98056-4195 with a note that this is for the Chou Memorial GED Scholarship.
