Renton High School’s Elijah Olson, baseball, was selected as the Renton Reporter Male Athlete of the Week for April 26.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Psychology

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Hanging out with my teammates and playing video games.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My friend Nito has pushed me since Little League to be better.

Q: Do you have a pre- or postgame tradition? What is it?

A: I’ve never been the ritual type of person.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “idontwannabeyouanymore” by Billie Eilish

“Elijah Olson is the captain of our team and a leader on and off the field. Olson leads the league and the entire state in batting with a .727 batting average to go along with nine doubles and eight triples. Amazing season!”
