Raising money for Hurricane Harvey relief

Seahawks, Safeway, Albertsons and Q13 Fox will collect donations for the impacted communities.

The Seahawks, Safeway, Albertsons and Q13 Fox announced Monday they have joined forces to collect donations for the communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Funds raised at Safeway and Albertsons locations will be given to the Texas chapters of American Red Cross, Salvation Army among other organizations.

Volunteers will also be collecting donations prior to the Sept. 17 home game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Chamber breakfast today in Issaquah

The Newcastle Chamber of Commerce along with the Mercer Island, Issaquah, Sammamish and Snoqualmie will come together today, Friday, Sept. 8 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. for a networking breakfast.

Tickets are $40 and $25 for members.
